Starting a new pc build

Well I've started my new pc build today. I got my I7 7700k today, but going to have to wait until next month to get the motherboard.
a ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming K6 and ram G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB. and as for storage a m.2 ssd with at lest 250 GB.Intel SSD 600p Series (256GB, M.2 2280 80mm NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4.
So with that I've already have a case, power supply,3 hdd 512 GB and all the odds and ends to finish the build.

Now here's the kicker. AMD fixing to come out with a 8 core cpu named Ryzen that's as fast as intel,s $1000 cpu and giving AMD seems to be cheaper at same spec cpu. I wonder if this will be the case. but i couldn't wait for AMD to release its new cpu some time in the 1st quarter of this year.

So if any of yall gonna update or upgrade what you got. which cpu yall ganna use, and how many cores 4, 6, 8 cores.

Well that's gonna make you a nice computer Acer that will last you awhile.

That Ryzen cpu does sound promising, but it is built on new AMD architecture and there's bound to be some issues with it when it first comes out. Might be best to wait and see the reviews on it if anyone is wanting to update to that.

yea I think that the i7 will last me a long time. and its the optimize one to boot. skylake is tock and kabylake is optimize.

As far the AMD cpu's you might be right. it being a very new architecture there's going to be bugs and such.

I hoping that the GTX970 I have will have some life left in it for a couple of years.

Nice Acer...I think the intel i7 is going to be better for you. I would buy the intel if it was me. I have an i5-3570k The only time I've used AMD is the Radeon video cards. I'm still running the Radeon HD6950 and still does great with all the games.
